This i7 was able to handle area rugs where the 940 was not. The 940 was able to go on oriental rugs that have a fairly thin border. Our area rugs are thinker and i7 was fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can handle "normal" area rugs, but it might struggle with exceptionally high rugs like some thick bath mats. It depends how thick and plush it is and if the sides of the rug tend to curl up under a vacuum.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have one of those rubber floor overlays that hide the electrical cords on a tile floor and she goes over this very well. If you have small throw rugs that are very thin from wear the corners might get rolled up as she goes over them, however if you have a more firm rug that does not roll up easy she works fine going over those cleaning them nicely. We do not have any deep pile rugs.
