We have a large, long hair, dog and a female resident with long hair. I have not had this problem. I have cleaned the brush one time in the two weeks we have had ours. There was hair around the brushes but it was not a large quantity and it did not effect the operation.

Absolutely not. We have a Roomba 980 and the i7 and rarely have to clean the brushes after a run. We've only experienced this when the pet hair is excessively oily or damp.

The irobot has a care info. Let's you know about debris extractors also the core robot and when to empty the bag. My irobot is too new to experience any of that yet. It's been amazing.
