I guess this is pretty subjective, I am have not measured the decibel levels. When the unit is cleaning the vacuum (noise) is much less than a regular full size vacuum cleaner. I have the unit running in front of my office (home) while on conference calls and can hear just fine. Now, when the robot docks and the bin is "evacuated" into the docking station bag, it sounds like a jet engine. Since this only lasts 10 seconds or so, it is tolerable. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it keeps the dog hair (Lab) under control. It does take a while to clean though. For approximately 2000 sq ft (mix of carpet, tile and hardwood, it take around 7hrs (multiple charges needed to complete the entire job).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dirt disposal is a little loud when the dust is pulled from the vacuum into the disposal bag, however it only last a few seconds and is well worth the feature. As far as the noise of the vacuum itself it is not bad. It is not as loud as a normal vacuum. We have all tile floors with just a few throw rugs. When it gets on the rugs it is a little louder as works going over the rugs but not bad at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vacuum itself is quieter than other models. The disposal is loud only for brief moment while empties.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both a just as noisy as a normal vacuum cleaner but the dirt disposal unit only runs for a few seconds during the emptying process. Best to schedule cleaning while the cleaning space isn't occupied. Like when your at work or school.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roomba itself isn't too loud. You can still hold a conversation, but need to turn up the volume on the TV just a little. The Dirt Disposal unit is loud. But it's only on for around 10 seconds. It's not that big of a deal, especially if you run it while you're gone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not going to lie - it’s pretty loud, but I figure I won’t be home when it’s running, so not a deterrent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It makes some noise but it's not deafening. It lets me know it's working but it doesn't interfere with tv or phone calls or a conversation. I can hear it when it empties itself but that's only for a few seconds and then it's done. I have an open floor plan but when it goes into the bedroom I hardly hear it at all
