Yes it goes over a threshold or a rubber mat

As long as the lip is no higher than a half inch or so, it should be fine.

It depends upon how uneven. Remember, this is a vacuum, uneven floors don’t maintain the suction. However ours easily rolls up slight inclines and overcomes room thresholds that are about an inch high.
