• I think that you would be better off with an earlier model that does not use wifi for mapping the home and starting roomba, but we have wifi so I am unsure about your question.

• Yes. It work by itself without Alexa or Wi-Fi. You only need wi if if you want to use a cell phone’s app to control the vacuum by phone. This way you can be wherever you want and control the vacuums through your cell. The house will be cleaning when you arrive home. I love mine!
