It only avoids what it can see with it's camera. Which means the avoidance has to be elevated enough for the sight of the camera.

Please try again later.I don’t have a pet nor have a I tested the pet accident detection feature, but the +j7 model is supposed to detect and avoid pet accidents and wires. I have definitely tested the wire avoidance feature and it works great. It actually takes pictures of areas it finds concerning and sends them to you to verify the object should be avoided. It will even go tidy up the areas you define as ok to vacuum. Pretty intelligent.
