You really need to pick them up. It will stop the rollers so it doesn’t damage the cord but it will often not be able to get out on its own. I have the keep out zones setup like around the Xmas tree where cords are present. I have found with tassels on rugs it recognizes them and spits them out.

It sucks stuff up from the floor and gets rid of it. Make sure anything small or fragile is completely out of the way of your vacuum. I did find an intact iPhone charger wrapped up inside of my older Roomba that doesn't have the self emptying feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is by far the best robot vacuum on the market. We have tried 4 different models. The s9 learns quickly and starts to avoid objects. It's probably a lot better with extension cords than a pile of doggy doo.
