“Can this adapter be used while plugged into the cigarette lighter, or must it be charged when not in use?”

The detachable receiver has a USB port on it so you can plug it into the stereo while you use it as well as the cigarette lighter at the same time.

Yes. It works while plugged into charger. Has to be paired on phone Bluetooth. Very simple and straightforward.

No it must be charged “offline” takes about 2 hours from dead.it will then work for about 7 hours.

You can use the adapter to charge both the AUX adapter and other devices via the 2 USB ports on the side.

It has to be charged to use. When you plug it into the cigarette lighter charger, it can’t be plugged into the audio jack. However it does have a plug you can charge it with, and I haven’t used that cord to charge and tried to plug it into the audio jack at the same time.
