“I just got my adapter a few days ago. Charged it, plugged it up and saw it blink red and blue only once. Think I’m going to go see tech at the store. Anybody know anything? Much appreciated :)”

If you hold the center button down for 3 seconds it will go into pairing mode which is the red and blue blinking lights. You can then pair it to your phone and then after successful pairing it will blink blue while connected. If you hold for 5 seconds it will shut the device off.
