• No adapter included in this item. The device is functional with iPhone 6 and 6+ only out of box.

• Each generation had its own I trip model. There are no adapters for older generations. This one has the lighting cable for iPhone 5 and 6

• I bought mine in part because it fit the iPhone 6 without needing an adapter. I believe you have to select the proper model for your kind of phone because I don't recall getting any adapters in the package.

• Don't bother plugging anything into this unless you don't care what your music sounds like and don't mind the weird occasional bleeps and chirps along with loud static accompanying your tunes.

• It uses the headphone jack on my iPhone or iPod, so the generation shouldn't matter. It provides a USB port for simultaneous charging.
