This is the same situation as my wife who I purchased this for. Her laptop was set up for a docking station at work, so this was for home. The drivers installed on her laptop worked fine. Try going into display settings and detecting monitors. If your laptop has the necessary drivers, it should recognize the new monitors and act accordingly.

However, without the driver, the 4K30 HDMI port will not function and dual-monitor support will not be available. To fully utilize the dock's features, including 4K30 output, driver installation is required.
