“I have a VGA to HDMI adapter to send image to TV but I’m not getting anything if I get this and use the USB port on my computer then use HDMI port to tv should it work rather than using the old VGA cable”

• Yes, this will extend to additional monitors/TVs from the Type-C connection as long as your computer allows display output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) from the Type-C connection. Supported platforms: macOS® X 10.8 or later Microsoft® Windows® 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
