Is this cable bidirectional (HDMI out to USB-C in)? null

I don't believe so. Just USB-C out to HDMI monitor/screen.

It does not support sending video from an HDMI source (like a gaming console, Blu-ray player, or set-top box) into a USB-C display/port. From a USB-C host device (such as a laptop, tablet, or phone that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode) to an HDMI display (monitor, TV, or projector).
