“Will this work for a computer with VGA port to a monitor with a HDMI port?”

• Yes it will. I use mine to have 2 monitors on my laptop. I see no difference in quality between the hdmi monitor and then vga adapter to hdmi

Yes, the JDA214 will work if you are plugging it into a desktop computer via VGA and USB-A male ends and have an HDMI to HDMI cable 10 ft long or less out to the external monitor, TV, projector. However, if you are attempting to use the JDA214 for a main monitor, you may run into some performance issues. You will need to connect a VGA to VGA cable from the desktop to the monitor as a main display, then you can use the JDA214 for an additional monitor.
