A: As long as you have the source. I use this connection to connect a desktop computer to a 70” flat screen tv
Q: Will this work for a computer with VGA port to a monitor with a HDMI port?
A: Yes it will. I use mine to have 2 monitors on my laptop. I see no difference in quality between the hdmi monitor and then vga adapter to hdmi
A: The USB attachment is for both power and sound. Some VGA ports do not provide power so yes we would recommend connecting the USB to the desktop.

Q: Does the USB tail have to be plugged in during it's use to power a chip set for it to work?
A: The usb is used for sound feature. Its not required for firing up the system.
Q: Does this require a driver to be installed?
A: No, this device does not require a driver, it is fully plug & play.
Q: How can u watch movies using your phone on a labtop
A: If your phone supports video output via USB-C, models such as the JCC153G will work for those intentions. If your phone does not support video output via USB-C, the JUA165C will work for you. Please keep in mind that if you wish to watch streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, you may experience issues due to HDCP which is copyright protection. You should be fine for simple mirroring your phone screen and watching YouTube.
