This product might be a very good solution for you, you just need to connect the transmitter box to your Direct TV box with HDMI cable and connect the receiver box to your patio TV with HDMI cable as well, that's it. Easy, wire free and the signal is pretty decent

It is possible that the DirectTV box may have encoding and may cause connectivity issues.
