I am going to answer this question to the best of my ability. I have not purchased this product, but I am considering it. MFi means made for iPod or iPhone. It is supposed to be a way to protect your device from being damaged by non-certified cables. Because the monitor stand and dock is made to be used with a computer, I do not think it ever is going to be MFi certified. I checked on Apple's website and it was not certified. However, if you are using an Apple cable to charge your device, I do not see what the problem should be. My guess is that the iPhone and iPad recognize that charging is occurring through a docking station, which cannot be used with an iPad or iPhone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've plugged my iPhone 6s into the hub and got no errors. Though if it's not plugged into the wall it charges slow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If this device is designed to work with PC and Mac, it will NOT and never will work with mobile devices the same way if it involves USB-C expansion. The purpose of this device is to expand the ports of usb-a and c and video but in the way a PC does it. Mobile devices work differently. It's a dock guys. Thinks about it. Do we dock devices in the same way on mobile devices? No. Typically, you're docking usb keyboards and mobile certified keyboards. Therefore, this is something to consider when buying docking stations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. But apple iPad and iPhone are different devices than PCs. So the way in which the connectivity is setup is conductive to the PC and MacBook Computers. Mobile devices are in another category.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because Apple devices may not be compatible with many third party devices, it may require some minor troubleshooting to get it to charge on the battery port. We recommend contacting the Technical Support team on the packaging for further assistance.
