I’ve used mine plugged into my iPhone 10SMAX. It connects through the headset’s mini aufio combo jack into an adapter cord for the iPhone lightening plug in. You do not use the USBA to control module cord... therefore, to mute or use the phone for calls, you use the phone app interface on your iPhone.

If you also need to charge the phone with the headset connected, then you can buy a dual input to the lightning port: it has both a 3.5mm jack input and a lightning input, so you can charge and use the phone at the same time.
