Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the solar charging capabilities of the Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus. Below are the detailed specifications for your reference: Solar Input Specifications Maximum Open-Circuit Voltage (Voc): 60V per input port (2 ports available). Important: The total combined Voc must not exceed 60V, even when using both ports simultaneously. Optimal Operating Voltage Range (Vmpp): 12–60V per port for peak efficiency. Maximum Total Solar Input: 1400W (700W per port). Compatibility & Safety Notes ✅ Recommended Panels: Jackery SolarSaga 200W (Voc: 21V) or 100W (Voc: 18V) panels. Third-party panels are compatible only if their Voc ≤ 60V per port. ⚠️ Critical Safety Precautions: Exceeding 60V per port may damage the unit. Always verify the panel’s Voc before connection. Use MC4 connectors and ensure proper grounding for safe operation. Example Configurations Setup Valid? Reason 1x 55V panel (Port 1) ✅ Yes Within 60V limit. 2x 30V panels (Parallel) ✅ Yes Combined Voc = 30V < 60V. 1x 70V panel (any port) ❌ No Exceeds 60V limit – Risk!
