• That is correct. It worked really well on the 88.5 frequency for us. It depends on the area you're driving in. Large metro areas cause more interference due to the amount of broadcasting channels.

• You've got it. That's exactly how it works. Best if you choose anot FM signal that doesn't have any clear station and is not a number near any clear stations, but even then I've found it overrides the station signal more often than not.

• One of the connections goes into the car lighter and the other jack goes into the MP3 player or phone. Tune into the frequency shown on the screen and it will play audio from that device.
