You have to look at your device to see your steps taken. There is no display on band.

You have to check your phone to see the information. The band only displayed icons, like walk, a half moon for sleep, and a couple of other things I can remember right now but there is no actual display on the tracker itself.

No display you have to open App on your devise to see your progress, which is okay with me.

No, the display does not tell you directly the number of steps. You can see those in their excellent app. It does flash to show you when you've reached your goals!
