• You have to look at your device to see your steps taken. There is no display on band.

• You have to check your phone to see the information. The band only displayed icons, like walk, a half moon for sleep, and a couple of other things I can remember right now but there is no actual display on the tracker itself.

• No, the display does not tell you directly the number of steps. You can see those in their excellent app. It does flash to show you when you've reached your goals!
