    Near perfect fitness tracker

I would just like to start by saying that I have had every version of the jawbone up to date, and the Up2 is by far the best version they have put out this far. Pros: Size and style- this thing is much lighter and less bulky than the previous Up24, which was constantly getting caught on things because of the open concept clasp. This new Up2 not only looks and feels better, but it no longer gets in the way for typing and does not snag on clothing as it did in the previous version. A lot of people have been saying that this new clasp is finicky and confusing, but that just isn't true. If they had bothered watching the quick 60 second video on the app they would know how secure it. Also I have heard that it may come loose, however I have found that this is also not accurate, this thing does not come loose and is an easy process when you understand what ou are doing. It is also now made of aluminum and rubber, so it is a change from previous versions for the better. Battery life- battery life in the Up2 is as good as it has ever been, getting anywhere from 7-9 days on a single charge. Charging this band takes less than 2 hours from dead, and is done now through the new magnetic charging Connection, which means no more annoying cap and headphone jack for charging. Workout recovery- This is a great feature that is not even listed on the box, but is one of the best things about this little band. If you should go for a run and forget to set the stopwatch mode (now done in the app), the band will sense the sustained activity level and when you log in to the app it will ask if you were doing some activity recently, and if you say yes it will ask you what you were up to and give you a list of options to choose from based on recent activities. It will also learn from which activities you do more frequently and use those when presenting your options. Water resistant- this is both a pro and a con as Jawbone originally promised a fully waterproof device rated 10atm, needless to say this is not what we got. What we did get however is a device I can where in the shower and at the gym so I only ever have to take it off to charge( which is not frequently). Cons: Touch interface- in order to put this thing into sleep mode you need to tap twice to wake the band and then long press to change the mode from active to sleep. This sounded like a bizarre approach and does not always work as advertised, however this is the only time you need to use the interface and thanks to the sleep recovery feature if you forgot to change modes before going to sleep the band will ask you when you wake up and log in if you have been asleep between the hours it guesses and you can edit it if it is incorrect. No screen- I don't need a full smart watch functionality, but is it too much to ask for a tiny screen for the time? It's a small chance and would make this device even more useful and convenient than it already is, but I understand they chose to go without a screen to get the phenomenal battery life. Final thoughts: For $99 the Up2 is the best tracker at that price point by far, between the workout recovery and tiny size this is the best fitness tracker I have used so far. I would even recommend the Up2 over the more pricey Up3 since the only difference right now is that the Up3 tracks your heart rate 1 time per day in the morning, and has slightly better sleep tracking which is certainly not worth twice the price. I was originally looking into the Apple Watch, but for 1/4 of the price this little band has tracking that is just as good. The main difference obviously is that the Apple Watch runs apps and tells the time, but for 10x longer battery life and 1/4 the price I can live with the compromise.

Love the band, have worn in the shower everyday with no issues. The only CON is that band unhooks very easily. Takes a while to adjust the band to that perfect fit, but it eventually works great. Highly recommended over the fit bit solely because of the app. The app has a "coach" that will track trends and challenges based on previous results. Also has a great sleep tracking, so I wear it to sleep and find myself trying to get to bed at a decent time. I attached pics to show that is as small as a ladies watch WHICH is smaller than the Fitbit and whole watch chargers no dismantling.

I did a lot of research prior to buying a fitness band and finally decided on the U24 (which later became the Up2). I was happy with the Up24, but after using the it for about 6-8 weeks, it stopped working...my replacement came in the form of an Up2. I had high hopes for it. It is sleeker and smaller than the last Up24. It has a buckle and all the other functions that I loved about the Up24. It works like the last band did, and I was happy with it until it started to fall off my wrist with way too much ease. I thought perhaps I was doing something wrong, but no matter how tight or lose I placed it on my wrist, it would always fall off. This continued until after another 6--8 passed and it too stopped working (both band just stopped charging). I wasn't abusing it...I was using it as directed, but neither lasted. The buckle issue was frustrating enough, but that aside, there is the fact that it stopped working so fast...I may have gotten a lemon (twice) but I have lost trust in this brand and I'm in the market for a new bad at the moment...most likely a Fitbit Charge HR (look for my review in a few weeks). One thing you should note...Since I bought my band, a newer rope version has been released. I don't know how that one works...if its better at staying on, but that doesn't explain the fact that in less than 3 months 3 bands total (2 of mine and my wives) stopped working. When it was working I loved it...I found myself working to meet the challenges (I hated the buckle), but now I question the Quality of the product altogether. I wouldn't recommend it.

I love Jawbone UP Bands. I've had a UP and UP24 before and loved them both. Never took it off. Incredible accuracy. The UP 2 is very comfortable to wear. Though sometimes the band loosens up and becomes a little big, it's really not as bad as I'm making it seem. I've also noticed that I can't calibrate this band. Which makes me feel it's not 100% like my UP24 was. Another feature I'm a little disappointed about is setting a specific stopwatch activity, you can't set it from your band must use app only. Over all I really like this band and recomend it to anyone.

This item has multiple issues. It is very finicky when trying to get it to charge and the clasp is somewhat difficult to secure and then comes undone during some activities. Also, the app takes longer than I would expect to update when it syncs, especially when tracking sleep. I only bought this item because it was 50% off and I also had a gift card.

I like the UP2 because it is small and discreet and has an adjustable band. My wrists are very small and all other fitness tracker bands had been too large. Unfortunately, after only 2 months, my band broke. It doesn't look like it can be repaired which is disappointing. I've contacted Jawbone about a possible warranty, but it is still too early for a response.

Up 2 is smaller and lighter than the up and up24 and its a nice improvement. The jawbone up2 software is what really makes it a fantastic fitness tracker. The new update added auto sleep tracking so you don't have to tell the band your going to sleep or when you wake up. It works surprisingly well. Much more accurate than fitbit with a ton more information that is easily viewed. Smart coach is a nice motivation tool with added health amd fitness tips based on your personal achievements or lack of achievement in some cases. Up2 Works great with iphone, 5,5s,and 6 as well as samsung galaxy s4 and 5. The iphone app gets updated first and has some additional apps that can link with up. I have owned several fitness trackers including 2 fitbits, the original up, up24 and now the up2. I liked the design and patterns better on the up and up24 but the up2 is by far the most comfortable to wear 24/7. Only negative is the clasp that keeps it on your wrist. If you don't twist the clasp just a little it can come off with little effort. I found that after 3 weeks or so I would need to bend the metal clasp to get it to stay on tight. Not a big deal but I did have the band fall off once and had to retrace my steps to find it. I highly recommend getting the geek squad protection plan for fitness trackers as they all seem to break for fail within a year. I thought it was me but my wifes fitbit stopped working after 5months so I replaced it with the jawbone up24 and its button stopped working after 9months. My up24 stopped around 6. Replaced it with the up2 and so far no problem. If you have a moto360 smartwatch the jawbone up software can also get steps from the watch.

I have been using an activity tracker (firbit zip) for over a year but wanted something I could wear on my wrist. After trying the jawbone up24 and misfit bands, one of which I didn't like the fit and the later I didn't like the build quality. I settledon't on the jawbone up2 and have been using it for about 3 weeks. So far so good. It's strengths are definitely it's size, style, water reaistance, and the up mobile app. The app is great and the best among jawbone, fitbit and misfit. The activity tracker seems fairly acurate, maybe a little on the heavy side when it comes to steps though. The sleep tracking seems to work ok too, as long as you remember to put the band in sleep mode. The only complairs are the band clasp and responsiveness of the band to touch control. The band clasp takes some getting used to in order to put it on. It also poses a risk of coming off easily as I've unlatched it changing clothing before. The bands touch controls are also a bit of an issue. The double tap to see the mode and change it from day to sleep mode is a bit finicky. It seems to be both accelerometer and touch based. I find I have to tap it multiple times to show the mode its in. Overall it is a good activity tracker. I love the app and the ability to wear it in the shower. I would recommend this product to others.

It has its ups and downs

This product has its ups and downs. I previously owned the UP24 and was originally waiting for the UP3 to come out. When it finally did, the price for feature differential between the UP2 and UP3 did not make much sense to me. Therefore I purchased my first UP2. This purchase was actually my second purchased UP2, but it wasn't the actual second UP2. I have been through several replacements over the course of ownership. I purchased this UP2 because I had some really bad charging habits while travelling overseas and the old unit started having issues. I think that something I did might have caused the issues. So I replaced it with a new one that I got for about 1/2 price. The Good: - I think that the UP app and interface is great (that's why I have stuck with it despite other issues) - The support department is good about replacing defective units - This price: I bought this during the Thanksgiving time frame and got it for about 1/2 the usual price The Not So Good - Sometimes dealing with the support is tedious. If you contact them multiple times, you get different support personnel and each runs you through the same steps. Sometimes, you feel like "I've already been there, done that" and it still does not work. - I have already had a warranty replacement on this UP2. It just would not charge. No lights nada (support did replace it) - As others mentioned in some of the reviews, the clasp design on this model can come undone. I find if the band is wet, it tends to slip more (the new design looks as if it will make it less likely to be lost if the band comes undone). Overall, I am really split on whether I would recommend it or not. I like the App and when it works, I am happy with it in general. I like the look (not bulky). If I did recommend it to a friend, I would preface it some conditions and make the friend aware of my experiences. Support has been great about replacing the defective units, but I seem to have had a lot of those.

For the most part I like the device. It is hard to find one device lately that does everything I would like to do, hopefully that will change one day. After hearing so many negative things about the UP3 I decided to go with the UP2 which is half the price and would cover the items I was looking for, such as tracking my steps and sleep. I had a fitbit before, however have had issues with it which ruined all my stats and gave me false data in their system. They tell me they can not just remove this data (which is odd) and my only option is to delete the entire account and start over. Seeing I had to do that, I figured I might as well go with another company. I like the app itself, which you can try out without the UP devices using just your iPhone, so you can find out if you like the way the application coaches you and how it works. I use the app to track my steps, goals, sleep patterns, and eating habits. It even creates a food word cloud of all the food you have eaten in the past 7 days to show how you are doing. They also score the foot from 1 to 10 based on how healthy what you are eating. I have noticed that the tracker does not count as many steps as the iPhone, and I'm currently looking into why that is so. I'm not sure if it is the iPhone, or the tracker at this moment. Over a days time there is a 1,000 step difference between the two devices, so hopefully I can get that resolved and find out which device (if any) is accurate. In all, the device is nice, wears comfortably, and is easy to put on an off. The battery last over a week easy, and is very easy to charge.

The UP2 is a great upgrade from the UP24 in the fact that it is much smaller and feels lighter on the wrist. But for someone who enjoyed the ease of just snapping the UP24 on, the clasp mechanism on the UP2 is a bit tiresome to get used to. Still, given UP24 is now discontinued, the band is a good upgrade and gets the job done. Waiting for more colors than the 2 available.

I did not buy this because I wanted a health tracker. I probably could have just used the S health app on my phone. It was part of a deal for getting the Galaxy S6 phone so I thought I would give it a try. I have found it to be a nice device though. I figured I would start tracking my steps of how much I walk. I have back issues so exercise is difficult for me and I was going to find something to help with certain things like the S health app but once I received this I have been watching it daily. I haven't played around a lot as of yet with all the features. Just been using the step and sleep tracking. I think what makes me want to stick with it is how I don't have to have the band on to track my steps. The app you install to sync to your phone will track your steps as well so days when I am on campus or doing something where I don't need to have the jawbone on my wrist and have my phone in my pocket it will still track my steps. That is why I am giving it a 4 star. If I have more knowledge on the rest of the features I might bump it to 5 but I have not gotten that far as of yet. I do not know the cost so I cannot compare that to others for you or if it is worth it. I can just say I am enjoying it so far and would recommend it to someone is going to buy one on their own

The Jawbone UP2 provides exactly what I need - activity tracking, ability to link to third-party apps, community opportunities for sharing information with family and medical professionals, easy controls. My only complaint is the claps easily comes undone. I fear I won't notice until it's too late one day.

I have had UP bands for the past 3 years and have loved them. When my last one puttered out I decided to try this new design. It measures my sleep and steps great, but after having it for about 3 weeks it doesn't want to stay clipped. The clasp keeps opening and my band falls off. Many times I've caught it before it was completely off but there have been times I've found it just laying in my bed or on my living room floor. I'm hoping they are able to fix this issue for the next versions. I may have to bring this back and look for something that I won't lose.

I originally purchase the UpMove because of the low price and great reviews on the app especially. The only problem was I couldn't keep the UpMove on my pocket. It kept falling off and I even lost it for a couple of days at one point. The original Up24 was also flawed in design because it would hang on clothes and fall off. However, this design is MUCH better. While the clasp is a little tricky, it stays on and does a good job of tracking my activity. I also like the vibration reminders you can set. I recommend the product itself, but the app is what puts it over the top from the other options out there.

This is much smaller than the Up24 Band and is much more like wearing a bracelet. The only complaint that I have is occasionally I accidentally switch it to sleep mode and out of it simply because of their new tap and press way to switch modes. Other than that I am loving as much as or more than my Up24. I often forget it's there which is a big thing for me as I am on a computer and typing constantly for work and the Up24 was noticeable due to its bulk. It is very light weight and once I figured out the right spot to wear it, I don't have any problems with it snagging on things or coming undone without notice. (Yes, this can happen if you wear it on your wrist in the wrong place and rub against things with it sized wrong.)

I got this after having 9 UP24s break on me. The design is much better this time around, it is thinner, lighter, and easier to wear than all the other Up bands I have had. Thankfully, this time, they opted to put the electronics in a non-flexible part of the band so it doesn't break all the time. Very happy about that. The only problem I have with the band is with the clasp, as many other people have said. Frankly, it's poorly designed. It is a hassle to learn how to put it on and take it off, it snags on things (and is sharp so watch out), and sometimes just falls off with the slightest pressure. The clasp isn't a deal breaker, but it sure is a pain at times. I am very glad they updated the band now that you don't have to tap to switch modes because that was always hit or miss too. Now it auto-detects sleep and awake modes so you don't have to do anything else before bed.

I Purchased the Up2 a few weeks ago and already I'm seeing results in inches and pounds. Love the Coach feature, which provides tips, motivational facts, and ongoing summaries of my progress. It tells me how many times I've met my goal in the past week, the average number of steps I take. The unit interacts well with my iPhone 6Plus, And it tracks steps and sleep time automatically. And provides graphs such as deep sleep vs light sleep or active vs inactive. The battery will run for seven to nine days without a charge. I wear it constantly, except when it's time to charge it. I purchased mine on sale for $53. I would have paid twice that as it has really helped me get motivated.
