• Yes. The update is in the firmware. When you plig it in, it will go through the firmware update process.

• Yes auto sleep tracking will want to adjust some times for bed time and wake up time

• Yeah, but the update hasn't been successful on mine for some reason. I still have to tap the 'start sleep' option on the UP app for it record my cycle.

• You don't have to put it into sleep mode but I find that it might be more accurate if you do manually.

• Yes. It times your sleep automatically. I have insomnia and sometimes will track times that I lay still but not asleep as light sleep. The Up3 can tell when you fall back to sleep. It's very close to being accurate.
