“Can the neck attached to the clamp with a hero + with a floaty backdoor be able to float? I'm am thinking of using it in the water and am not sure if it will float if I drop it.”

I'm not sure but I think probably not. The clamp is pretty heavy and the float may not be buoyant enough to keep it afloat. We have ours clamped to the back of our jet ski on the seat handle but we also have one of those heavy wired twisty ties around it to secure it to the handle just in case the jet ski capsizes. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We thought the same thing. But the floaty box says on the back that it will not work with other attachments. Meaning you can use it all together but the weight of all the attachments might be too heavy and not cause it to float.
