• Try pairing the sound bar with the sub again. Look up the user manual and follow the instructions

• Sorry, I don't know much on this, because each model has its own frequency channel to sync to it's subwoofer. If model match to your system, then it's a direct replacement otherwise I don't think so. You better call JBL to verify.
