“Is this sound bar able to turn on automatically when connecting via BT?”

• Ours always goes into "Standby" after about 5mins & we have to "ReStart" it... haven't figured out anything else.

• I have mine hooked up to in Nvidia shield streaming box. When I turn that on the JBL system turns on automatically. That's running through the HDMI ARC port. Or ACR. oops dont rememer spelling.
