• Make sure you have the tv plug in right hdmi slot

• I had this exact same issue. Apparently you HAVE to use their included HDMI cable. I tired using others but I kept getting an error. Connect the HDMI from the sound bar to the TV. I no longer have that issue where I get the error from my apps. Beware that this sound bar does not support DTS audio.
