“Had these installed to replace my Bose factory six by nines. Seems like I have to turn my volume up higher then I used to. I have a Bose sound system in my car. Why would this be happening? It seems like system was louder with factory speaks. Pls help thx”

I have the answer for you! The Bose premium factory systems have the rear 6x9 speakers crossed over at the factory amplifier. The mids and highs are filtered out. This is the case in my Infiniti Q60. I added an amplifier and tapped into the head unit's preamp out signals at the Bose amplifier's rear connections. This signal is full range unlike the amplifier's output which is only bass. So your JBL's will not sound good due to the built in active filter of the Bose amp. You will need to bypass that amplifier and add your own. There's really no way around this other than to add an aftermarket amp, get the wiring diagram for your Bose system, and tap into the Bose amp inputs. If you do this you will be VERY pleased with the quality of the JBL 6x9 three way speakers because that is what I used and it sounds great. They are very good sounding speakers with crisp highs and mids, and a lot of clarity. Very clean sound. I'd drive them with a 100W RMS amp, or larger, but set the power output to maybe 75 Watts RMS (continuous). Good luck with getting it straightened out. It can be done. Try a Pioneer GM-A5602 Amplifier (150 Watts RMS into 4 Ohms per channel) which is a two Channel class AB amplifier. You could also use a Class D digital amplifier which will run much cooler but the sound isn't quite as clean as a Class AB amp design (great for powering subwoofers though).

New speakers don't usually mean more power, only increased quality. The Bose speakers are likely perfectly matched to the internal Bose amp which is why they might have played louder. You may want to add an external amp to finish increasing the sonic quality and overall power output/volume.
