Thank you for your inquiry. Our JBL Bar 1300MK2 rear speakers are mainly charged when attached to the main soundbar. Still, you may plug it into wall power a few times each day using standard USB-C cables when detached. The speakers are built to handle continuous power safely without overcharging. This is a great way to enjoy permanent surround sound without ever needing to dock them back to the main bar for charging. However if you want to conserve energy, you may unplug them often.
