• Nothing! use the optical cable that comes with it! or use the Bluetooth or you could buy an HDMI cord but the optical cable works perfect!

• Electricity and a T.V.with an optical audio output/ HDMI audio out. It is not hard at all to set-up.

• All you need is at least 2 HDMI cables or 1 plus 1 for every device your hooking up like cable box, game system, ext. Or 1 optical wire. Hope this helps.

• When you get the item it gives you everything you need to setup and use the item. The only cable that it does not come with is a special cable that allows you to connect to your HDTV allowing you to see a digital over-lay on your tv switching it between the various sound setting. The cable is called HDMI ARC out. This allows you to have a digital display on your tv to switch between sound setting on the sound bar.

• Honestly I just hooked up the JBL SB400 using the optical wire provided. It makes it easier that way. Otherwise, you can connect the sound bar via hdmi. I heard it has better quality sound if it is hooked up to an hdmi cable.
