I have a Samsung tv, sometimes when turning on the tv I get no sound from the sound bar, same thing when I change its channels. I've found out you need to shut down the sound bar and turn it back on again. I use the optical output and it works 90% of the time. It's a huge pain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had the same issue and on reasearching it through Giggle it does seem to be a common issue. The remote makes the input change and the volume up and down (LED flashes). I can take a working HDMI (tested on home cinema amp) as well as a working bluetooth source (small JBL portable speaker as well as a 2.5mm audio jack and none of them produce sound. Also nothing comes out of the bass. I found some Youtube articles that indicate there is a failure on the 5V PSU line in the main speaker. This drops the power to the preamplifier which is where the low level input is managed hence all inputs going pop at the same time. It is common, JBL ask quite a lot of money to repair it so if you go down that route it is cheaper to find a new one apparently. If you have a decent local repair lab then the answer can be found on the Interweb for them to check fix quite easily. A couple of £2 components. https://www.google.com/search?q=sb400+no+sounds&oq=sb400+no+sounds My favourite at a guess is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytEEN_ClQ-4 Worth getting someone to test for you as there is a little question whic one it is.
