“I use the JBL endurance peak for cycling. If i pause the music or don't hear anything they are entering a standby mode which is like turnoff. Then how to answer a phone call when they are on standby? If they shut down all the time they are useless.”

You must keep the music playing at all times or answer the phone through your headphones so that it won't go into standby mode.
