You can turn off the noise canceling on these headphones, as well they have a function called environmental awareness that lets a certain amount of ambient noise through so that you know what’s going on around you and it has three levels of awareness settings in addition to the ability to fully turn the noise cancelling off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The sensitivity can be changed to any level you desire, even different on either side. Or can be switched completely off. Use the app or the button on the side. Works the same. Music quality does not seem to change with ANC off. With it on, it seems to slightly get rid of ambient noise so the focus is on the music. Ironically if ANC is turned up to high sensitivity of 'awareness', it almost acs like a microphone for the room and you'll hear a lot of amplified noice come through. Could be useful in some cases when wanting to hear things you may otherwise not hear. Neat feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Using the JBL Headphones app that can be downloaded on an Android or iOS device, you can turn noise-cancelling off. You can also customize so that pressing the "S" button toggles it off and on instead of adjusting its levels which is default.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep, off, low and high.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. They have "Ambient Aware Low" and "Ambient Aware High" which are 2 levels of noise cancellation. Ambient Aware High would be "Off".
