• No, they have to be within 30 feet to stay connected via bluetooth. But I've been a little further away than that and still stayed connected just fine.

• No, it need to be connected through Bluetooth to your phone , there is no contact list or songs you can choose on it nor will it even tell you what songsis playing , do not get these they are horrible.

• Why would wireless earbuds do that? They connect to a blutooth enabled device like a phone, computer, etc. It cant be a standalone phone!
