If you buy a powerbank with an A/C plug in on it that runs at full power you can totally use a powerbank. I run mine off my 27,000 ma A/C powerbank and it runs at full power for hours. Once it died the unit just switches over to its own battery

Speaker comes with a AC cord to power speaker and supply power to the on board battery charger for it internal rechargeable battery. Also comes with a cigarette power plug for cars cigarette lighter socket to use in car applications. However just check your cars owner manual for the amount of power your cars cigarette outlet can supply.
