It depends on the capabilities of the Blue-ray play if the player can separate the video and audio signal using HDMI. Blu-ray player to projector set-up, the HDMI normally is plugged into a video-only output port (DVI-HDMI, VGA-HDMI). Please make sure that the JBL Partybox 310 is selected as the speaker to use on your Audio Preferences which can be accessed through your source.
