Thank you for your inquiry. While our JBL PartyBox Ultimate is designed primarily for music playback and parties, you can technically connect it to a TV to use as a speaker. However, it's important to understand that it won't function as a true surround sound system. Our PartyBox Ultimate will play the audio from your TV, but it will be stereo sound coming from a single point, not a surround sound experience.
