“My JBL Tune 130NC earbuds started making a loud piercing whistling noise while in the case. I am not sure if it was the earbud or the case. When I opened the case, it stopped. What could cause this?”

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You may try to perform a factory reset by removing both earbuds from the case and tap the touch control twice and hold for 5 secs. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Having the buds in too close of a proximity to each other causes the loud screeching sound caused by electromagnetic interference. The interference comes from each bud having its own electromagnetic frequency/field emmited from them. Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your buds.
