“How effective is the noise cancelling when working around loud machines that normally you would be wearing hearing protection?”

The noise cancelling is very good and really eliminates outside noises

The NC is very good but are no comparison to over the ear NC headphones. They drown out the background noise well enough for enjoying your music but are definitely not for hearing protection.

Noise cancelling is amazing. Lots of live music being an entertainer and I have no problems.
