Yes they go from ambient to noise canceling with a touch of the earbud.

Yes, you can turn the Noise Cancelling feature of the earbuds on or off by tapping the left earbud once. Additionally, we recommend using our JBL Headphones App so you can get the most out of your JBL Tune Flex and easily modify its features.
