Yes you can connect these to a windows type PC, I'm using them right now on a windows PC, and you can talk using the mic with no issues. Please make sure you update your drivers before connecting these earbuds via bluetooth, you should not need a password to connect, but only if you see them ready to connect as "audio" or "music" on your bluetooth devices screen, you should be able to pair and connect. if you try to connect them without seeing the audio tag, a prompt for a password will appear and neither 0000 nor 1234, or 1111 will work. These are excellent earbuds, I use them at home and at work, on my laptop and my cellphone. Also, I am able to talk hands free when connected to my phone with no issues as well. *Remember to update your bluetooth drivers before trying to pair these earbuds, this should allow you to connect as audio or music without needing a password. It took a couple of attempts, but once they paired, they automatically connect when afterwards. This worked for me and I hope this info helped.
