Thanks for your inquiry. The earbuds of our JBL Vibe Beam will power off and stay in an idle state when returned to the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If there isn't anything playing through the earbuds yes they will shut off which is good . Here's a tip to not need to use the app. If you happen to have another phone that is using WiFi and works with the phone you pay service on setup the app and earbuds to that phone dial in the custom equalizer to the way you like it. Then don't download the JBL app on your primary phone but re pair them to that phone and they will stay at the setting you chose Everytime you connect without shutting off or having to go back into the app if they do power off. I found that out by mistake I actually was just about to return them and all of a sudden I said holy s..t this is awesome .
