“TWO questions. first, is there any electronics in the UPPER part of the case (the flip top?) or does it just hold the buds in place? second, can i get a spare pare of the the large ear bud covers (the silicone covers?) thanks”

No electrons in the upper part of the case it just hold the earbuds in place, You probably can buy the earbuds covers on best buy or amazon wherever

Please try again later.It's to push the earbuds contact points down to secure charging and to let your device know when to connect as soon as you open it they lift up slightly and will connect to your bluetooth they will not when touching the contact points. And yes you can replace the large tips with any I wouldn't suggest squeezing on smaller than 8mill driver diameter tips you can buy a pair of earbuds at the dollar tree for $1.25 take the tips throw the buds out. If they fit is all that matters
