- Answer Flip is more of an entry level speaker. Made to put in your drink cup for your bike and your pocket. Extreme 2 is the best of the small speakers. After this is the Boombox but that is larger and heavier.

QuestionI bought two of the JBL Xtreme 2 Portable Speakers 4 months ago and one of them won't power on. When you hit the power button it comes on and turns right back off. Does anyone know how to fix this as it is out of the return period at Best Buy.

- Answer To my knowledge you can listen to music on this speaker only via bluetooth and also through a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable. Say you connect the cable from the speaker to an ipod or anything with a 3.5mm audio jack. I do not believe you can use a thumb drive.

- Answer The charging port is right behind the speaker under the rubber cover along with the USB port for charging other devices, Aux input and a service micro USB port (only for diagnostics).

- Answer Our JBL Xtreme 2 has a Connect+ feature. If your JBL Charge 3 is updated to the latest version, it should also have the Connect+ feature which enables them to get connected with each other to play the same music at the same time. Please note that updating the Charge 3 to the latest version will not let it connect to other speakers with Connect feature only.
