- Answer Thanks for your question. Our JBL Xtreme 5 uses Auracast, while our JBL Charge 4 utilizes Connect+. Since these two technologies are not compatible, you won’t be able to pair them together. If you're looking for speakers to pair with the JBL Xtreme 5, you can check out our Charge 6 or Boombox 4, which utilize Auracast.

QuestionTo ask the question more directly, does this come with the cable required to allow the speaker to step up to full wattage? There have already been videos showing that a similarly powered block will not allow the speaker to access the full output.

- Answer Yes. The Xtreme 5 version with the power adapter includes JBL’s PD adapter, which allows the speaker to operate at its full AC-powered output. Just make sure your specific package includes the adapter, since included accessories can vary by region/version.” JBL specifies up to 20V/4A input and lists the PD adapter as included on the adapter-equipped model.
