“Does this player have a pause and resume feature for CD playback? If I need to pause an audiobook in the middle of a chapter, I don't want to have to go back to the beginning of the chapter and re-listen.”

• Yes. I only listen to music CDs but I assume it would be the same for audiobooks. It has a play/pause button that does what you are wanting. It also has buttons that will change to different songs in a music CD and will probably change chapters in audiobooks. However, if you pause it and turn off power or if power is lost, you loose your place.
