“Hi. I'm interested in the headphones mainly to block out annoying sounds in my workspace - people talking etc. Can you use them for noise cancelling only? And if so do they emit a hissing white noise sound?”

Not sure about heavy machinery, but you can definitely block out people talking and focus on what you’re doing. Also they do not give out that hissing sound. At least mine don’t.
