The Joby phone holder will fall over with it being attached to a tripod. I use it with my Samsung S7 Edge mounted to a tripod. The swivel base that shows in the photo that Best Buy has on their site doesn't come with the holder. You have to buy the swivel base on the manufacturers website for another $49.

As long as you have a holder that will accommodate the screw in for a tripod it should work.

Yes, this product will work with a Samsung 7 however it is meant as an attachment piece to a tripod so will not sit alone by itself.
