Thank you for considering JVC for your car audio needs! The KW-M590BT is “steering wheel control ready”, meaning it has the input on the head unit for factory steering wheel audio controls, but it won’t work by itself. You must use a third-party steering wheel control interface/adapter (sold separately) to retain the factory buttons. This receiver has a dedicated rear (backup) camera input, so you can connect a backup camera to it. However, it doesn’t automatically “know” how to speak Ford’s factory camera wiring — to retain your OEM backup camera and reverse signal triggering properly, you’ll typically need a vehicle-specific wiring harness or interface that properly adapts the camera video and reverse trigger. In many F-150s, the OEM camera signal isn’t a simple RCA video out and reverse trigger, so an adapter is needed. In both cases, we suggest you connect with a GeekSquad installation professional at your local Best Buy to verify which additional accessories are needed for your F-150 to ensure it operates that way you want it. You can also reach out to our team for assistance, to answer any questions. Please contact us at 1-800-252-5722 or email us at [email protected]. Thank you for choosing JVC, we look forward to helping you upgrade your car audio experience! Best regards, The JVC Customer Relations Team
