A:AnswerI don’t know for sure but we asked the installer to run the wiring for the phone charger through the unused cigarette lighter port. My husband didn’t like the insert they sold us because he thought it was too big and bulky. He hadn’t even opened the cover, so what he didn’t realize was that it also had a second port in case we ever wanted to add a backup camera. We were really pleased that the installer was thinking ahead for us. We ended up removing the cover for easier access. I would contact your local store to ask. The person who does the actual installation would probably know.
A:AnswerWhen we had this installed my husband asked for the iPhone cable to be run through the unused cigarette lighter. When I picked up my excursion they had installed a dual port. One for the phone and the other in case I add a backup camera in the future.
